We’re seeking a polished and professional Sales Specialist. In this position you will educate prospects on our services, create proposals, provide tours of our exclusive venues and help clients find their dream date while meeting personal and company revenue goals.

The Catering Sales Specialist responsibillities include:

  • Ensuring all inquiries and client communications are responded to in an enthusiastic and timely manner; no more than 24 hours for first response, and 48 hours for proposal after first meeting
  • Actively listening and qualifying our clients with the mindset that we have a venue and date for nearly everyone
  • Preparing effective proposals, maintaining well organized files and contracts
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of our exclusive and preferred venues as well as private residence logistics
  • Scheduling and conducting site tours with prospective clients, while representing the Russell Morin brand in a professional and courteous manner while touring
  • Preparing contracts in an accurate and timely manner
  • Meeting and collaborating with fellow sales team members and VP of Sales to educate and enhance sales tactics and techniques
  • Assisting with day of event coordination (1 x per month)
  • Developing relationships with key influencers (planners, preferred venues, etc.)
  • Meeting or exceeding personal sales goals set forth by the company on a monthly, quarterly & annual basis through efficient working habits and taking corrective action where needed to increase sales
  • Ability to anticipate event and client needs, recognize work priorities and meet deadlines with little supervision
  • Enhancing and developing existing menus in collaboration with the culinary team
  • Actively tracking sales activity through applicable sales and catering software system
  • Understanding the overall market, our competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, etc.
  • Maintaining an exemplary level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive issues
  • Identifying areas of opportunity to improve internal logistics and customer experience
  • Promote and portray RMC&E Core Values
  • Performing other relevant duties as required

Who Are We Looking For
In order to meet the needs of our clients, working hours vary and can include evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as business requires. To be successful in this position, the Catering Sales Specialist wil be able to:

  • Remain up-to-date on current food and beverage trends and extreme comfort and familiarity of all food products offered by our chefs
  • Learn and maintain in depth knowledge of our services and offerings

  • Demonstrate understanding and application of effective selling strategies and techniques

Qualifications:

  • 4 or more years of event experience; preferably in off premise / venue catering sales
  • Ability to think strategically, but also have exceptional attention to detail
  • Superior organizational skills, presentation/public speaking skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
